Compliments :-)

So, when you go to the gym everyone is going hard and even though you recognise some faces- no one is gona say hello especially to a person of the opposite sex.

I haven’t been to the gym for a week and so today was rough. My warm up had me dripping with sweat after 5 minutes.

A gym instructor kept passing by and I thought of Mr Popular, cos he knew everyone.
So I need my squats- 15kg, lunges-12kg and then deadlifts-20kg. But I wasn’t sure about my form. So I asked Mr Popular to spot me. He spotted me from behind and said I had great form. He showed me how to do bent leg deadlifts and then asked if I am a sprinter or track runner - I get that all the time. I told him that I would like to run a 10k in July and he said great.

He also told me that stiff leg deadlifts are hardest but I have mastered them and showed me other lower back exercises.

He advised continuing strength training and training on interval. My body has shown me how much better I feel when I work out. Today I felt stiff because my muscles were cold. I am also lucky to have quick muscle development so I should work with what I have.

I encourage you to look after yourself and set yourself targets - whether they are physical, spiritual, financial or academic.

Love you xxx

Have you ever felt like a Failure? Join the club! You’re in good company with the rest of the human race.

We’ve all experienced setbacks, adversity, failure, pain and frustration. In many ways, I believe Disappointment is a universal language. It’s something we can all relate to, but we don’t talk much about how to get through it. I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I do believe God gives us some important Truths to remember when we’re dealing with life’s disappointments.
1. You’re not defined by your Failures (or by your Successes). We live in a world that tries to put us in either a “Winner” Column or a “Loser” Column. God doesn’t categorize us that way. Your value isn’t based on your performance; it’s based on God’s never-ending love for you.

2. You are growing through this process. You might now feel like it, but you’re being stretched, disciplined and strengthened as you endure life’s hardships. God promises to work everything together for our good and His Glory. If you’re going through something difficult, it’s probably because God is preparing you for something great!

3. Great blessings are ahead. If God closes a door, it’s because He has a better one that he wants you to discover. Sometimes it takes many closed doors before we’re ready for the right one. In the meantime, we’ve got to choose the right attitude. Disappointment will always produce either Bitterness or Growth in your Life, but You get to decide which one!
4. God is Bigger than whatever is stressing you out! No matter how big the Fear or Failure might seem, God is bigger and He is with you! He says, “Never will I leave you or forsake you.” Never let fear rob you of your dreams.

I don’t believe you are reading these words by accident. I believe God wants to remind you that He loves you, He is with you and He will never let you down. Keep trusting Him and don’t lose hope! Disappointments are temporary but your Destiny is Eternal. Remember His promises…

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the LORD; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:!!

I opened Tumblr today, after days. I don’t know what I was looking for, but I definitely wasn’t expecting this

Yes. He did NOT do anything wrong. Jesus was as innocent, pure, and perfect as a lamb, but God had to let all those ugly things happen to Him. It was for you. He assumed your position as the vile sinner, so you can take His position as the beloved of God. The Father’s anger for sin was quenched at the cross two thousand years ago.
Now, don’t punish yourself because you think you are too weak. Your sins, blemishes, mistakes, failures, wrong decisions, and all the foolishness you’ve done were dealt with at the cross. You are forgiven. You are now pure, white as wool. God doesn’t see you as you are— He sees you the way He sees His Son. Beloved, as Jesus is, so are you in this world(1 John 4: 19).
You have the power to break from that, because you are now free and deserving of the Lord’s help. He will rescue you from where you are now. You just have to believe in Him. Place your trust in Him. Don’t lose hope. He loves you, and He knows your heart. He understands.
Don’t hesitate to believe that God will do everything for you. Don’t hesitate to believe that He will give His best for you, because He definitely will, beloved. God will do that, and Jesus was the reason. His love for you is the reason. Now that our sins have been dealt with, we are free to enjoy God’s love and grace as much as we want.

When your legs are farther apart and your toes pointed out, you work the inner thighs more intensely.

I am back

I just wanted to let you know, I have my new gym membership, a fridge of chicken and a freezer of chicken.

I have an arm band for my iPod and gym headphones and a gym bag.

I have GOD on my side and I have missed working out and having that time to go hard and faster and feel invigorated.

I am happy and I will be with you all every step of the way.

So…I have moved in to my new home for the next 18months. & I will have to buy some furniture to put my clothes in etc… and I drew up my budget for the next 6 months- nothing fancy. When I was leaving home - my uncle told me to buy what I need and not what I want & things will become easier financially. Ever since then I have been thinking over it and I will buy what I need not necessarily want- that’s until my bank balance improves ;-)
Being in a new environment and having woman’s time of the month has made me a little miserable, even though I am so grateful to be here the process of applying for jobs, piecing money together over the past few months and packing up again- has been quite draining. So mental fatigue & my body hay-wired isn’t great but I have started planning ahead to maintain the fitness and spiritual balance I began 7 months back…
So I will get a Bikram Yoga membership for 30£ and buy weights to use at home with my NTC…as using the gym at peak hours will cost 43£ per month. I don’t want to be living on a tight budget and need to learn how to save for once.
Money saved on gym could be used for my hair- socialising- or to build up my wardrobe or savings account. Just little adjustmenets I will try to make. I will try not to make this a diary Tumblr… as I am a FITSPO…

So I realised

When I started my quest to gain healthy weight and just take better care of the body God gave me, I did a lot of research.
The one thing I found strange was, women gained lean muscle in small amount over a year. For example, there’s a Bodybuilding.com teen case study an she gained about 16llbs in a year. It wasn’t because she was slow but life happens. Over the past two months I have been less active on Tumblr and haven’t been to the gym. This is because my health got back on track and I started job hunting. Working as a private tutor slowed down and the rest is history. We all know healthy eating and exercise (weight training) doesn’t come cheap.
So maybe in the last month and a half I have lost 7llbs but I am happy I know how to gain that weight back and it shouldn’t take long ;)

So please watch this space, I will be back and now I have an iPhone I have no excuse not to post updates xxx
